Every country is taking some concrete steps to stop wastage of water. In this sequence, California of America has also taken up the responsibility of saving drinking water. The water crisis here has been deepening for the last few years, hence it has been decided that the dirty water will be converted into drinking water. Voting was done for new rules. Following the vote, California officials approved new rules Tuesday that will allow agencies to convert waste water into potable water and pipe it back to homes, schools and offices.
America’s second state will be formed
California is set to become the second US state to allow the conversion of dirty water into good water. It is a major step forward for a state that has struggled for decades to secure reliable sources of drinking water for its more than 39 million residents. This step is being seen as a big relief. The state which is facing water crisis is expected to get relief.

has been used before
This isn’t the first time California will be repurposing foul water, it’s been used here for decades, though never as drinking water. For example—the Ontario Rens minor league hockey team has used it to make ice for their rink in Southern California. Soda Springs Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe uses it to make snow. Farmers in the Central Valley, where most of the country’s vegetables, fruits and nuts are grown, use it to water their crops.

Orange County operates a large water treatment system, which recycles waste water and then uses it to replenish underground aquifers. The water mixes with groundwater for months and is again used for drinking water.
