Ramaswami against the decision to declare Trump ineligible for the post of President, said – Republicans should unite

America’s Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has come out in defense of former President Donald Trump. He has decided that if the Supreme Court does not allow Trump to contest the elections, he will withdraw from the elections in Colorado. In fact, Trump, who was campaigning for the White House race, has suffered a major setback. The major court of Colorado state on Tuesday declared Trump ineligible for the presidency under the US Constitution in the US Capitol violence case. The court has removed Trump, the Republican Party’s main contender for the White House race, from the state’s primary voting for the presidency.

Bharatvanshi Vivek Ramaswamy has expressed his opposition to this decision. He has vowed to withdraw from the GOP primary ballot. He has also appealed to other candidates that if the court does not change its decision then they should also withdraw from the election.

Appeal by issuing video message

He has released a video message on social media platform X. He said, ‘If Donald Trump is not allowed to contest the elections, then I have also decided to withdraw from it. I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot. I also appeal to other candidates Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie and Nikki Haley to also decide to withdraw from the election.

Called the decision to remove Trump from the primary voting a wrong move. He said that the consequences of this maneuver would be very dangerous for America. He said that either Trump should be allowed to contest the elections, otherwise he too will not be a part of it.

I want to tell you…

On declaring Trump ineligible for the presidency under the US Constitution, Haley said that the judges will decide who can participate in the presidential election and who cannot. She said, ‘I want to tell you that I do not think Donald Trump needs to be president. I think I need to be president. This is good for the country.

The former US ambassador to the United Nations said, ‘I will defeat him outright. We don’t need judges making these decisions. We need voters to make these decisions.

Haley further said, ‘I want to see this decision in the hands of the voters. We are going to win this. Whatever needs to be done for this, we are going to do it. “But the last thing we want is for a judge to tell us who can and who can’t be on the ballot.”

Use of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for the first time in history

This is the first time in the history of America that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate. The Colorado High Court, in its 4-3 majority decision, said that the majority of the court believes that Trump is ineligible to hold the office of President under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. According to media reports, all the judges of the court that ruled against Trump were appointed by governors from the Democratic Party.

Overturned the decision of the district court judge

The High Court of Colorado State had given this order, overturning the decision of the District Court judge. The lower court had said that Trump had incited the mob to violence for the attack on the Capitol (US Parliament) on January 6, 2021. But Trump cannot be barred from running for president because it is not clear whether that section of the Constitution covers the presidency. The High Court put on hold its decision till January 4 or until the US Supreme Court decides on the matter. At the same time, with this decision, it will now be challenging for the Supreme Court of America to decide whether Trump can remain in the nomination race from the Republican side.
